Victorian (1831- 1901) 9ct rose gold oval shaped locket, featuring delicate floral etchings on the front and the back of the pendant. The locket is hallmarked on the underside, saying '9CT BSK & FTS'. In the late Victorian and Edwardian period, lockets were manufactured with solid gold fronts and solid gold backs, the metal at the front is a sheet of solid gold and the metal at the back is also a sheet of solid gold.

The locket measures 3.4cm / 1.3" in length and 2.2cm / 0.8" in width and 0.5mm / 0.2" in thickness. The pendant hangs from a new solid 9ct rose gold chain.
CONDITION:
The locket is in excellent antique condition, the locket closes securely and the piece is free of dents.
